હનુમાન જન્મોત્સવ એ ભગવાન શિવના ૧૧મા રુદ્ર અવતાર અને પ્રભુ શ્રી રામના પરમ ભક્ત એવા હનુમાનજીના પ્રગટ્યનો પવિત્ર દિવસ છે. ચૈત્ર સુદ પૂનમના દિવસે અંજની માતા અને કેસરી રાજના ઘરે પવનપુત્રનું અવતરણ થયું હતું. આ દિવસ માત્ર એક ઉત્સવ નથી, પરંતુ અખૂટ શક્તિ, અટલ શ્રદ્ધા અને નિઃસ્વાર્થ સેવાના સંગમનો મહોત્સવ છે.
હનુમાનજીનું વ્યક્તિત્વ આપણને ત્રણ મુખ્ય ગુણો શીખવે છે: બળ, બુદ્ધિ અને વિદ્યા. તેઓ શારીરિક રીતે અજેય હોવા છતાં અત્યંત વિનમ્ર છે, જે આપણને શીખવે છે કે સાચી શક્તિ અહંકારમાં નહીં પણ સમર્પણમાં છે. ભક્તો આ દિવસે 'હનુમાન ચાલીસા' અને 'સુંદરાકાંડ'ના પાઠ દ્વારા જીવનના તમામ 'સંકટ' (મુશ્કેલીઓ) અને આંતરિક નબળાઈઓ જેમ કે ભય અને આળસ દૂર કરવાની પ્રાર્થના કરે છે.
આજના આધુનિક યુગમાં હનુમાન જન્મોત્સવ આપણને ધર્મના માર્ગે ચાલવા અને સમાજસેવા માટે પ્રેરણા આપે છે. જ્યારે આપણે મંદિરમાં એકત્ર થઈને હનુમાનજીને સિંદૂર, તેલ અને આંકડાના ફૂલ ચઢાવીએ છીએ, ત્યારે આપણે આપણા જીવનના પથ પર આવતા વિઘ્નોને દૂર કરવા અને ધૈર્ય જાળવી રાખવા માટે બજરંગબલીના આશીર્વાદ માંગીએ છીએ. 'મહાવીર'ના જીવનમાંથી પ્રેરણા લઈ આપણે પણ આપણા કાર્યોમાં દ્રઢ સંકલ્પ અને ભક્તિ જાળવી રાખીએ એ જ આ ઉત્સવનો સાચો હેતુ છે.
